Most explanations of Business Intelligence are written for the people who build it. These are not.

Those are not exceptions, that is the everyday reality in a lot of organizations.
Data is not an IT topic. It sits in the foundation you steer on, which means the explanation has to make sense to everyone with a say in the decision. Not only to the person building the model.
