Privacy statement

Optilise B.V. handles your personal data with care. This statement explains which data we process, why, and which rights you have.

Who are we?

Optilise B.V. is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement. Our office address is Driebergseweg 17, 3708 JA Zeist, the Netherlands. For privacy questions, contact us at info@optilise.com.

Which data do we process?

When you fill in the contact form on this website, we process the data you enter yourself: your name, e-mail address, optionally your company name and the content of your message. We also use Google Analytics to measure how this website is used: which pages you view, how long you stay, which page you arrived from, and what kind of device and browser you use. Google uses your IP address to determine your approximate location and does not retain it afterwards. We also use lemlist Website visitors: that script records which pages are visited and derives from the IP address which organisation the visit comes from. In some cases lemlist also resolves an individual contact. The contact page also shows a Google map; see below for what that means.

Why do we process this data?

We use the data from the contact form solely to respond to your question or request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to messages you send us yourself. We use the measurement data from Google Analytics to see which topics visitors look for and where this website falls short, so that we can improve it. Here too we rely on our legitimate interest. We use the data from lemlist Website visitors to see which organisations take an interest in our work, so that we can approach them directly; the legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in acquiring clients. You can object to both and refuse measurement; see "Cookies" below for how.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep your data no longer than necessary to handle your question and enable any follow-up contact. Measurement data in Google Analytics is kept for the retention period configured in our Analytics account; the cookies used for it expire no later than two years after your last visit.

Who do we share data with?

The contact form is technically processed by FormSubmit, which forwards your message to us by e-mail. We use Google Analytics to measure website usage; Google processes that data on our behalf and may do so outside the European Union. The visit data from which we derive the organisation is processed by lemlist (lempire SAS, France). The contact page also shows a Google Maps map. As soon as that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies; this happens under Google's own terms, over which we have no control. We never sell your data to third parties and otherwise only share it when legally required.

Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to measure how visitors use the site. It sets two cookies: "_ga" and one whose name starts with "_ga_". They recognise your device on a return visit and expire after two years. On top of that, the lemlist Website visitors script runs on every page and reports the visit to lemlist so the organisation behind it can be identified. We use no advertising or retargeting software. The Google Maps map on the contact page may also set Google cookies as soon as you open that page. To prevent all of this you can block third-party cookies and requests in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out extension; the rest of the site keeps working normally.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Send an e-mail to info@optilise.com to exercise these rights. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
